SMS Terms of Service

These SMS Terms of Service (“SMS Terms”) govern the SMS text messaging program operated by Couture Dermatology and Laser Beverly Hills (operating as Karen Chinonso Kagha MD PC). By providing your phone number to us and consenting to SMS communications, you agree to these terms.

SMS Program Description and Messaging Use Cases

Our SMS program is used by Couture Dermatology and Laser Beverly Hills to send the following types of messages to patients and prospective patients who have opted in:

Appointment confirmations and reminders for dermatology consultations and procedures
Follow-up communications related to your visits, treatments, or care plans
Customer support replies to your inquiries and questions
Occasional promotional offers, seasonal updates, or new-service announcements

Instructions to Opt Out — Text STOP

You can opt out of SMS communications from Couture Dermatology and Laser Beverly Hills at any time by:

Other accepted opt-out keywords include: STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT

After you opt out, you will receive a single confirmation message and will not receive any further SMS messages from us. To re-subscribe at any time, reply START to the same number or contact our office.

Message and Data Rates Disclosure

Message and data rates may apply. Couture Dermatology and Laser Beverly Hills does not charge for the SMS messages themselves, but your mobile carrier may charge you for incoming and outgoing text messages according to your wireless plan. Check with your carrier for details on your plan’s messaging rates.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on your interactions with our practice. You may receive messages related to scheduled appointments, follow-up care, or occasional promotional content. Frequency is not fixed and may vary by month or season.

Carrier Liability Disclaimer

Wireless carriers (including T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and others) are not liable for delayed, undelivered, or failed text messages. Couture Dermatology and Laser Beverly Hills is not responsible for any carrier-related issues affecting message delivery.

Age Restriction

You must be at least 18 years of age to opt in to our SMS program. By providing your phone number and consenting to SMS communications, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18, do not opt in to our SMS program; a parent or legal guardian must provide consent on your behalf for any communications related to your care.

Privacy and Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, share, or transfer your phone number or SMS data to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Not for Emergencies

SMS is NOT to be used for urgent or emergent medical situations. For life-threatening emergencies, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. For urgent clinical questions, call our office directly at (310) 444-0946 during business hours.

Relationship to HIPAA Consent

Our separate Consent for Electronic Communication on the Policies & Legal page governs the use of text messaging for clinical or protected health information (PHI) under HIPAA. These SMS Terms govern all non-clinical SMS communications — including marketing, appointment reminders, and customer service.
